Training Manager

Chicago, IL

The Member Services Telecare Team (MST) is looking for a Trainer Manager to deliver training to MST agents. In this role, you will be responsible for highly effective training delivery, providing input to the design and measurement of programs, and providing coaching and feedback to licensed MST agents to drive key performance indicators. 

Responsibilities

  • Administers learning lab training to new hire, licensed MST agents to meet and exceed key performance indicators as quickly as possible
  • Manage new hires nesting to bridge the gap from the training room into integration with the MST teams
  • Consults with business leaders to evaluate areas of opportunity and collaborates on learning and communication initiatives to drive performance improvements at the program or team level
  • Uses key performance indicators, reports, and direct observation to provide one-on-one coaching to improve performance. Will act as a floating manager between all MST teams to deliver team coaching, individual one on ones and trainer to manager updates for low performing agents
  • Reviews materials for instructor-led and online training and facilitates classroom or virtual training for topics that include business process changes, sales, tests, retention projects, products, and systems
  • Understands and adheres to all training policies and procedures
  • Contributes to process improvement initiatives to streamline and improve operational efficiencies
  • Will act as a floating manager between all MST teams to deliver coaching,
  • Track, understand, and be held accountable to various team metrics, such as effectuation rates, recovery rates, overall team production, and more; drive behavior necessary to meet and exceed these targets
  • Understand Captive’s product offerings, including Major Medical, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Prescription Drug Plans, and other ancillary health products

Skills & Experience

  • Insurance sales experience preferred for Medicare
  • Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Exemplary communicator with a collaborative working style
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Continuous learner with a passion for coaching and developing people
  • Experience with measuring training effectiveness preferred
