About the role:

GoHealth is looking for a Systems Administrator to join its IT Infrastructure department. This person will play an integral role in ensuring that every avenue of our underlying infrastructure is working at its best. This candidate will work with a team of similarly minded IT engineers in deploying and maintaining core infrastructure inside both our on-prem and private cloud environments. This person will have the unique opportunity to provide meaningful contributions that will be felt across the entire organization.

What you'll do:

  • Administer both our on-prem (ESXi / Active Directory) and cloud (Azure) environments
  • Work with other engineers in server patch management (via Azure Arc)
  • Maintain our O365 ecosystem
  • Engage with the security and IT support teams to ensure that we are following best/preferred practices
  • Drafting, proposing, and implementing enhancements to various aspects of our environment
  • Assisting with hardware and software upgrades and/or repairs
  • Closely monitor core services and take corrective action(s) as needed
  • Aid various departments in rolling out quality-of-life improvements
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation
  • Advocate, enforce, and determine how to improve, our standard operating procedures
  • Stay up to date on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies
  • All other tasks, responsibilities, or duties as directed by management

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Systems Administrator/Engineer, Network Administrator, or a similar role
  • Familiarity with both Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Proficiency in Azure, Entra ID, and O365 administration
  • Understanding of basic networking protocols (i.e. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Strong willingness to continuously learn and adapt
  • Keen attention to detail, resourcefulness, and the ability to problem-solve under pressure
  • Experience with defining requirements, conducting product evaluations, and managing SLAs
  • Ability to define and self-start projects using agile methodologies
  • Strong ability to report on individual progress and KPIs/metrics
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

You will stand out if you have:

  • Familiarity with a scripting language (i.e. PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar)
  • Comfortability with CI (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo CI, GitHub Actions, etc.)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code
  • Understanding of the healthcare sector
  • Experience with Atlassian products (i.e. Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
