The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) runs from October 15, 2022 – December 7, 2022.

Plan changes will take effect January 1, 2023.

During AEP, Medicare Beneficiaries can enroll in or change their Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans, Prescription Drug Plans (Part D), or Medicare Supplement Plans.

Medicare Beneficiaries may also switch back from Medicare Advantage to Original Medicare (Parts A & B).

Nope! If you’re happy, just sit tight - your plan will auto-renew for 2023.

As a GoHealth member, you receive unlimited support from the GoHealth TeleCare team, even if your plan hasn’t started yet. They will assist you in answering plan questions, helping to schedule doctor appointments and more! A TeleCare team member is assigned to you after you complete enrollment. AEP Checklist

• Review your ANOC, EOB or MSN: Annual Notice of Change (ANOC): Outlines any changes in your coverage and costs for your current Medicare plan. Your will receive a printed copy from your plan provider by September 30th. Explanation of Benefits (EOB): Review of Medicare plan claims and costs. Sent from your plan provider. Medicare Summary Notice (MSN): Summary of services or supplies billed to Original Medicare for the previous 3-month period. You will only get this if you have Original Medicare (Parts A&B).
• Make a list of your doctors, specialists, and healthcare providers. Tip: Write down the doctor office address as well.
• Make a list of all your prescriptions and medications. Tip: Write down your dosage notes for each medication.
• Did you have any major health changes in the last year?
• Do you anticipate any major procedures or health events in the nest year?

Prepare for your GoHealth phone call:

• Have your current Medicare Advantage plan card (the red, white, and blue card) readily available.
• Have the completed lists from above available so you can share with your GoHealth agent.
• Set aside a good time to call. The earlier you call in AEP the shorter the wait times. Don’t wait until December 7th to call!
