By Laurel Mandel

CHICAGO, IL–(Marketwired – Sep 19, 2013) – GoHealth announced today that Robert R. Millard has joined the privately held company as Chief Financial Officer, effective September 17, 2013. Millard will report to President and Founder Brandon Cruz and oversee GoHealth’s finance and accounting functions. He also becomes a member of the executive management team, which directs all aspects of the company’s strategy, planning and operations. He succeeds Mike Ahern, who was named GoHealth’s Chief Accounting Officer.
Millard most recently served as CFO at Angie’s List, Inc., the national consumer review service. He was a member of the executive team that took the company public in November 2011. Prior to that role, Millard served as CFO at two other publicly traded companies.

“Bob’s demonstrated track record as a successful public company CFO and his hands-on business experience made him the perfect candidate to step into this important role on our management team,” said Cruz. “It was important for us to find a candidate with both the financial and operational experience to help guide GoHealth though this period of rapid growth.”

“After meeting with the executive team, it was clear to me that GoHealth has a very bright future,” commented Millard. “I am excited about joining the GoHealth team and contributing to the company’s rapid growth. Due to the company’s technology, market reach, and expertise, it is uniquely positioned to benefit from the changes in the health insurance marketplace and the resulting growth in its total addressable market.”

Millard began his financial career with positions at Arthur Andersen & Co. and Ernst & Young LLP. He earned his undergraduate degree from DePauw University and his Masters of Business Administration from Indiana University.
