About The Role

GoHealth is a performance marketing powerhouse, bringing together creative, strategy, media, and analytics to engage customers in their all-important health insurance decisions for maximum impact. We are leading from the front, shifting an industry built on transactional encounters to one centered on trusted relationships. The GoHealth Marketing department is seeking creative thinkers with the mental agility to ask meaningful questions and draw upon insights to drive impactful results.

The VP of Performance Marketing will oversee the strategy, operations, execution, and expansion of GoHealth’s multi-million-dollar performance marketing agenda, leading each of the teams driving demand and lead gen in Offline Media, Digital Media, and Partnerships, respectively. You will have the opportunity to build the long-range strategic plans to drive innovation and differentiation, while also maintaining an eye on the near-term production needs of the business governed by weekly and monthly KPIs.

This role is a hybrid/remote role based in Chicago, IL

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the Performance Marketing Team and manage a significant marketing budget to efficiently achieve customer acquisition goals across a diversified mix of inbound channels:
    • Offline Media: Set the vision and oversee team’s strategy, execution, and performance across Direct Mail, DRTV, Radio, Print, OOH and other offline channels
    • Digital Media: Collaborate with channel team to optimize ad expand customer acquisition strategy across all paid digital channels
    • Partnerships: Lead the strategy and oversee build-out of a breadth of partnership channels, from affiliate to strategic
  • Leverage extensive first and third-party data to maximize campaign profitability by analyzing dimensions such as lifetime customer value, lead quality, product mix, location, age, and device
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for performance marketing, including keeping a pulse on industry trends, creative and value propositions, new targeting opportunities, and data hygiene
  • Ongoing coaching and skills assessment of managers and junior staff, identifying gaps for professional development, career growth, and retention of key talent 
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to plan and execute a continuous test & learn approach to optimize existing channels and break into new ones
  • Collaborate with technology, strategy, and channels owners to improve consumer experience, business efficiency, and profitability
  • Integrate & manage 12-month media plan for peak efficiency and scale
  • Continuously optimize media through stringent analysis of dayparting, seasonality, geographical exposure, frequency, cost and more to drive strategic decision-making

What We’re Looking For

  • 10 years experience within a marketing management function with an emphasis in direct response performance media
  • 5-8 years experience managing teams ranging from 10-25 people in size
  • Self-starter & self-directed, with a sense of urgency and bias for action
  • Executive presence with the ability to productively participate in cross-functional leadership discussions and advocate for marketing
  • Experience identifying new go-to-market strategies, developing new markets/channels, and building programs to capitalize on opportunity
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing full-funnel strategy that continually evolves based on dynamic business objectives
  • Proven campaign and lead generation experience with clear & established accountability metrics to assess effectiveness
