Sales Strategy & Operations Analyst

About the role: We are seeking a high-energy, insightful Operations Analyst to help us make better sales and marketing decisions to ensure that customers who need health insurance get covered. Up for the challenge? Read on.You will be responsible for gathering, manipulating and reporting sales and enrollment statistics, as well as other data which will help you develop fulfillment recommendations based on what you find to continuously improve efficiencies for our 2,000+ team of sales agents. You will be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of data gathering processes using disparate sources, analysis, trend identification and report development. You will have the opportunity to work with our databases and reporting tools to present recommendations to executive leadership.

About the team: The Sales Operations team creates an environment where we set goals to grow professionally, personally, and in ways that impacts the company’s strategic performance. We embrace wearing different hats and proactively seek to support our colleagues as work increases and decreases across teams. We own end-to-end work streams, from assessment through proposal creation, internal approval, negotiation, and execution.


  • Extract and transform raw data from various databases into meaningful and useful information to enable more effective strategic, tactical, and operational insights
  • Work with the Sales team to interpret data and develop recommendations based on findings for executive leadership
  • Support ownership for operations processes, gaining an understanding of the work flow including the systems and processes that support it
  • Analyze existing work flow and drive continuous improvement efforts
  • Troubleshoot problems with daily data-feeds within programs and reports
  • Create accurate reports by established deadlines and on an ad-hoc basis
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned to support the Sales team

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelors’ degree required, preferably in Business, Engineering, or Computer Science 
  • 1-2 years experience in experience in strategy or consulting preferred
  • Experience in operations/operations management a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel (manipulating large sets of raw data, complex formulas, modeling) required
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently or with a team
  • Exceptional problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task when necessary and adapt to changing business needs
  • Displays effective communication skills to all levels of management in both verbal and written forms
