Program Director

Chicago, IL

The Sales Program Director will be responsible for a stand-alone P&L. They will drive success by leading and motivating teams of health insurance sales managers and inside sales agents to drive sales and support growth within our Medicare division. In this sales leadership position, this individual will play a very important role in the success of GoHealth's Chicago sales center. 

 Due to the unprecedented situation of COVID-19, GoHealth has decided to protect current and future employees by managing business operations remotely. This includes interviewing new candidates, onboarding new hires and operating each day-to-day function. Following the resolution of COVID-19, the Program Director role may continue to operate remotely, with monthly visits to the Chicago office for in-person interaction with team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver on key metrics (Target Sales, Conversion, Retention) set forth by executive leadership
  • Manage call center P&L and identify areas of improvement and focus through communication with internal and external channels
  • Participate in the planning and on-boarding of new agents
  • Coach performance by using reporting tools, product knowledge, and best practice sales strategies
  • Partner with support teams to improve call center operations and efficiencies
  • Execute sound call center operational practices; including attendance adherence and vacation policies, coaching cadences, and company policies
  • Drive compliance through script adherence and maintain a high quality work environment at all times
  • Serve as a product knowledge expert for carrier and call center businesses

Skills and Experience:

  •  Bachelor’s Degree, Associates Degree or related health or Medicare Insurance sales experience preferred
  • 7+ years of sales leadership experience, with a preference towards individuals who’ve managed and led a large team of inside sales professionals
  • Professional and motivated self-starter who is highly competitive in nature
  • Proven sales and management success, with the ability to coach, mentor and motivate staff in leading multiple teams of Medicare sales agents
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
