About the role:
The Chief Accounting Officer will be a strategic partner to the Chief Financial Officer and executive team, serving as an infrastructure builder and owner of the accounting & control functions. The CAO will be a key leader as the company embarks on a finance transformation; optimizing processes, systems, and teams. Central to the CAO’s success will be working cross-functionally as the company’s accounting authority and establishing excellent working relationships with the business.

What we’re looking for:
Technical Acumen: 15+ years of experience in a controllership or finance related leadership role, including tax, technical accounting, risk and controls, and external reporting, to include experience as Chief Accounting Officer/Controller of a standalone public company. A foundation with Big 4 public accounting experience and an understanding of revenue recognition and 606 policies are strong preferences.
Industry Experience: Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus, but not necessary. An interest in healthcare technology is required.
Transformation Experience: Has a history of improving processes, technology and infrastructure to support the business and manage controls. Can lead change and drive transformational improvements.
Team Leadership: Experience building, motivating and developing top teams, with a track record of attracting and leading high-performing talent.
Effective Communicator: Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must along with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex issues effectively with leadership, peers and key stakeholders. Genuine motivation to interact cross-functionally, sharing accounting expertise.
