About The Role

Are you a self-motivated and highly driven Business Development Manager looking for an opportunity with immense room for growth? The GoHealth team is expanding our commercial sales team and looking for a true hunter to grow our business. Your entrepreneurial spirit and passion for problem-solving will help you find opportunities for GoHealth revenue diversification. Our Business Development Manager will develop and cultivate relationships with prospective customers through cold calling, trade shows, networking events and through existing relationships. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious closer who is always on the hunt for new business and is ready to adapt to new strategies and initiatives. You will report into the VP, Commercial Development.

What You’ll Do

  • Research and qualify potential business opportunities across the country.
  • Build and maintain access to key business decision makers and generate C-level contacts by networking across the marketplace.
  • Own and drive full sales cycle including prospecting, presenting, solution definition, contract negotiation.
  • Drive revenue growth through business development, lead qualification, pitching, and closing new customers.
  • Conduct in-depth research on competitors, inclusive of referral relationships and success factors, to gain insight into business dynamics and develop programs focused on attainment of growth targets.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences to represent the GoHealth brand.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or administration, marketing, communications, or related field required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience demonstrating success in sales, commercial development, channel development, customer success or partner growth.
  • Extensive experience in business development, relationship building & advanced closure, and in driving sales in a solutions-selling environment at the C-suite level
  • Health care industry experience is preferred but not required
  • Strong communication skills, including presenting on general and industry-specific topics
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects to develop and execute sales process, develop long term client relationships and provide solutions for clients.
  • Ability to respectfully collaborate in a team-based office environment and work independently
  • Proven track record of delivering results through development and implementation of planned strategies.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze, summarize, and effectively present data.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications as well as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
